Budget Bed and Breakfast
For something refreshingly different from traditional B & B’s or hostels why not try us. We’re much cheaper than B & B’s and far more characterful and comfortable than most hostels. With prices averaging only £25 per person, double or twin occupancy, and £30 for singles, we’re a great budget option for bed and breakfast here in the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast National Park.
Cut to the chase? Skim read what’s underlined!
Our breakfast offerings are a far cry from the ‘muffin in a box’ offered by some budget hotel chains. Inclusive in our price is a light self service breakfast. This comprises a choice of cereals, a top quality muesli with 50% fruit and nuts, several porridge options including our popular organic version with sultanas and cinnamon. There’s organic Welsh milk, fair trade tea and fair trade organic coffee, a choice of quality loaves for toast including a tasty sunflower and pumpkin cob and locally made jams and marmalade. For those who have acquired the taste, there’s Marmite too!
Need a lie in?
So, no need to worry about setting the alarm to come down to breakfast at a set time. Whether you’re setting off early for a full day on the coast path or you fancy a nice lie in, breakfast will be there for you whenever you’d like it.
The Mill Cafe
As a further option there’s an excellent café in the village that offers cooked breakfasts. Click on the ‘Food Glorious Food’ link below for more details including opening times.
Start with our reasonable rates, add in the self catering kitchen, and you’ve got yourself one of the best bargains around! One of the pleasures of a holiday or mini break is finding your favourite places to eat out, but, the expense aside, sometimes a night in and rustling up a familiar meal is just what appeals. There’s all the equipment you will need in our well appointed kitchen and we do our best to keep it spotlessly clean.
Dine in style – There aren’t many places that feature Charles Rennie Mackintosh dining chairs and The Old School Hostel is one of them. Ours are copies of the tallest of his famous high backed chairs and they create a wonderfully intimate dining experience at one of our tables. After your meal maybe retire to the lounge area to plan tomorrow’s adventure or pop down to The Ship Inn for a drink..and just beyond the pub is the cove, the perfect spot to watch the sunset.
Walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path?
If you’re staying predominantly at B & B’s you may find that a full cooked breakfast every day becomes a bit too much of a good thing! Our healthy breakfast options provide a nice change from the norm at up to half the price of traditional B & B’s and guest houses. The slow burn carbs in our tasty organic porridge have kept many a walker going for hours! We also offer a packed lunch service and there’s a pub in the village that serves evening meals 7 days a week. Click on the ‘Food Glorious Food’ link below for more details.
